How can I get into bars/clubs/etc without using my ID?

I'm not going to waste my time asking where I can obtain a fake ID (unless anyone has some helpful suggestions there!) but, long story short, I'm a transvestite and it's more than a little humiliating trying to get into clubs using my real ID and having to explain why the genders don't match up. My actual ID is completely legal, and obviously I'd love to be able to have two and just switch when I need to, but that's not so legal, even if it is for innocent purposes. Can anybody advise me?
