How come the British versions of Taylor Swift's songs are altered to be more pop?

I don't think many people have actually listened to her very first album "Taylor Swift" That is from what I can tell country, I think it's because not many people over here care for country which is a shame D: But also for the record company to get more money out of her and changing her as music and time is going on maybe? :)
