What music would be played in an 18th century English pub?

I'm creating a soundscape for a play. The soundscape is an english pub around the mid 1700s. I was wondering if there would be more drinking songs, or if there would be performers playing songs on violin, fiddle or whatever there is. Any help would be great :) thanks!
